For over 20 years, as a former senior legal officer for a Fortune 50 company, I successfully developed, coached and transformed talent in corporations and law firms, as well as provided strategic legal and risk mitigation advice to financial institutions. As a former senior in-house attorney, I developed talent, strong leaders and teams. I understand what clients are looking for with the lawyers and law firms they hire.

I created programs, conducted training and have been called upon to be a special guest speaker on panels with regard to talent, business development, leadership, diversity as well as insurance, litigation, and regulatory issues.

Today, as a certified coach and career consultant and Chief Talent & Leadership Officer of another organization, I partner with outside attorneys, in-house counsel and law firms with a particular focus on the building blocks necessary for successful career and business development, including exceptional client service, a robust internal and external network, and a strong authentic brand.

My passion is helping attorneys and law firms realize their full potential as well as for individuals, their career and life ambitions. This is whether they are grappling with the practice and business of law, navigating corporate or law firm politics, beginning or reinvigorating their business development efforts or developing their leadership skills to reach the next level. I also coach corporate managers and leaders to achieve the career success they desire whether it is a promotion or a new opportunity. As a trained coach, I ask powerful and probing questions and work with clients to address the inner voices in their heads that undermine their efforts, create effective habits and leave their comfort zones.

Leveraging my vast experience in the financial sector and, in particular, my years in insurance, I also serve as an expert and consultant on litigation, compliance, investigations, regulatory and risk mitigation issues. My objective here is to provide end to end client-focused services and solutions.

Corporate Counsel and Inside Counsel recognized me for my commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law with their Women, Influence, Power in Law Life Time Achievement Award for Inhouse Counsel. I was recognized by the Women’s Venture Fund which awarded its the highest honor, the Leaf Award. I was named a Most Influential Irish Woman by the Irish Voice, a Leading Women Lawyer in New York by Crain’s New York, and a Business 100 honoree by Irish America. I have received the Litigation In-house Award at the American Women in Business Awards, the Virginia S. Mueller Outstanding Member Award from National Association of Women Lawyers, and a First Chair Award for my work, innovation, and contributions to the legal community. I have also been honored to be named on the DataBird Business Journal 2019 list of Inspiring Female Entrepreneurs.

During my free time, I focus on organizations that help individuals, in particular women and girls – to provide guidance to enable them to develop to their fullest potential. I was an executive sponsor of a Fortune 50 US Women’s network during which we revamped and re-branded the organization. I am a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Lawyers and Powerplay, empowering and developing underserved girls. I also co-chair CARE’s Women’s Network – New York and serve on the advisory board of Transforming Women’s Leadership in the Law. I am also a former member of the Board for Read Alliance. My commitment to helping others advance coupled with litigation expertise has been recognized several times by a number of organizations.

I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where I served on the Comparative Labor Law Journal and the School of Management at the State University of New York at Binghamton and graduated magna cum laude. I also earned the designation of Certified Professional Co-Active Coach from the Co-Active Institute, the world’s largest in person coaching and leadership program.
